Kissing, holding hands, and cuddling are ways students are showing their love for each other, not only on Valentine’s Day, but all year round. The Public Display of Affection (PDA) rule at Lebanon High School is: “PDA in excess of holding hands and brief hugs is NOT allowed.” According to Dean of Students Kraig Hoene, the rule itself is not broken often, but students argue with teachers who confront them.
According to the World Health Organization, over 18,000 diseases and ailments inhabit the world. A little known but pesky chronic condition is rosacea. Its embarrassing trademark is prolonged facial redness. At its worst, rosacea has symptoms including red facial bumps, acne-like pustules, and a bulbous nose.
Kevin Johnson’s Physical Education, (PE), 2 classes are now on their fourth unit: basketball. They have finished swimming, volleyball and badminton units. Tuesdays and Thursdays, these classes go to the weight room and do some lifting. Students also get to warm up on sunny days by running on the track.
High school is a preparation for the real world. What happens when people are late to work? They get maybe one warning, but after that they get fired. Keeping track of time is the best way not to get fired. For students that have trouble making it to class on time, there is In-School Suspension, (ISS). Students have started to wonder if ISS is really effective in the long run.
